This Arcane Gate was another fun little D&D experiment. This one uses a few different particle effects, notably Particular and Stardust, along with some other techniques. It runs on a six second loop.
I wrote a script to transform all the paths on a shape layer into “Light” layers moving along those same paths. The lights were then used as emitters for a particle system. This was the project I used to test it out.
I made these little one-offs in Procreate for Holler in 2021. They were intended to be included in a sticker pack. They didn’t get used unfortunately but I’ve always enjoyed them.
This was a fun little experiment to animate a swarm of bugs following a light. The bugs are entirely dynamic and will follow the light wherever it goes.
